Even if it is passed in the high court, nannyco will just change the rules to cover the loophole.

blacktexta, I'm no big city lawyer so excuse the dunce question...but assuming this decision in SA is upheld (right word?) what implications does it have on the QLD laws? Are they automatically deemed unconstitutional as well?

CASE CLOSED...I mean I rest my case

It would depend upon how close the 2 pieces of legislation reflected each other. If the HC came along and said mandatory sentencing in general is unconstitutional (which it wont) then yeah it would fuck up the QLD hooning legislation right and proper. Having said that this is true also :

Thats the problem with the Australian Constitution, it is too vague and doesn't keep a reign on the powers of the various divisions of Govco.

Impressive. You'd be doing well not to get binned for that nowdays in Society Republic of Queensland.

                      What did you get anyway?

Don't know about Qld but in NSW it is a criminal offence

So does this mean I might be compensated for the cunt act where two cops knocked on my door 3 days after an alleged "street race" and seized my car and took a FUCKING DNA SAMPLE without them ever pulling me over nor me even seeing another car at the scene let alone a fucking cop?

this is sweet justice if ive ever seen it.

Lol, I like how they put it on the front page in massive bold letter like its the worse crime in living history. Meanwhile Im sure some repeat-offending nut job beat an innocent person into the hospital and no-one batted an eyelid.
