    extreme steering lock

anyone have any technical/close-up picks of the set-ups used to get lock like this.. obviously not possible on every car, but interested to see whats extremes they go to to get the wheels that far around and not have the rims fouling on the rack ends and all the other shit?

Rack spacers, tie rod spacers, ground off lock tabs, cut and shut knuckles and front wheel tubs in that one I'd say.

so where the rack end bolts to the knuckle gets shortened to bring it closer to the hub centre?

apart from making more lock, wouldn't that make the rest of the steering shitter?

Yeah it can, usually because they run more negative camber than necessary to try and get more than an inch of contact patch at full lock.
Castor often has to be pulled back a fair bit as well.

this bit sounds abit.. interesting :S
65 degrees of lock, parallel steering - both wheels turn the same angle.

Plus a fair bit of tweaking on the Ackermann steering geometry to get the parallel steering.
