    What???

Turn left (well, right over there) on red, and 4 way stops are fucking awesome.
I think the 4 way stops, is a decent part of why they are generally better road users. You have to pay attention, have patience and wait your turn.

downtown, there'll be cocksuckers jaywalkin and walkin the red light

i'd be waiting for them to clear the intersection, so i could turn right

      they'd never stop

and when i'd have a green light, there'd be fucking cunts crossing the road with the "go walk" light.

      fucking shit awful shit

and the 4 way stop, don't get me started on that! how can a shit system like that still be used in an american mindset?!

there's no proof of who was where first. i was seriously shocked when i figured out how that worked, and i could not believe that it has actually survived years and years of american(!) use!

and honestly, i'm european, born in belgium

and australians are better road users, less "fast lane" hoggers.

in canada, you pick a lane and stay in it forever.
in australia, at least, some people move over to the slow lane. hell, australia knows a slow lane, rather than "any lane is your lane, have fun"

shit i hate driving in the americas.

you just made that up, that's not even a rule. If it were, it would be enforced and everyone would be polite and keep 'left' as you call it. madness!

That, and qld cunts indicating right every time they are going straight on at a roundabout. Every fucking time. It holds up traffic like fuck.. Anyone driven the Petrie roundabout in the morning will be on the hunt for blood.

This whole round about thing is a non issue in Vic. Indicate left or right if you are going left or right, don't indicate if going straight through.

I read this as something you Canadians just decided to trial, nothing to do with the government lets just give it a go.

They have already implemented a system in the lovely suburb I work in, if you are stopped at a red light you just drive through it whenever you feel like it, to turn left, right, do a U-turn, do some burnouts or whatever. even stopping for the red light is optional.

I will never understand, laws notwithstanding, queenslanders ignored the fact that it makes sense if the slower vehicles stay left.

Not having a shot but it's less stressful when everyone does it but they fucking don't. Was there some bizarre advertising campaign 40 years ago that said 'don't move to the left if you're slow joe' or something?

I am a Queenslander, and fuck I HATE people who don't keep left unless overtaking. Massive pet hate of mine.

In regards to the roundabout thing, a few years ago the law was to indicate right if going straight, hence why a lot of people apparently still do it. It is no longer the law, and to be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw someone do it.

Yeah, I remember RACQ did a story on how many people are confused about what to do on a round-a-bout. Some thought as it's a circular piece of road you only indicate left when leaving it, which may well have been the rule at one point.

Good to see that common sense may finally be reintroduced to the use of intersections!

Oh, and people that sit in the overtaking lane, and then fail to move into the left lane when clear of traffic infuriate me. I usually make a point of utilising the left indicator to give them a hint after passing them on the left to try and get the point across. Rarely does it result in them getting the idea and moving over though.

Well, That is the only time you indicate left on a roundabout, isnt it?

you only indicate left at a roundabout when you are turning left, if you are turning right indicate right and that's it. blinkenlights will turn off after you leave the roundabout

                            My bit of road cunt...

I liken it to brownian diffusion. They just tend to expand to fill the available roadspace while occupying their cubes of space and take it as a grave affront if you breach it.

                            Brisbane's better than here.

As opposed to indicating right when taking the third exit.

In Queensland you must indicate left when exiting a roundabout.
