we dont have any issues from not indicating when exiting. i mean sure if youre turning left you indicate but if youre going straight yu dont do shit. wtf is the point of not indicating if youre going straight then indicating left as you exit. can no cunt see the stupidity in this?

Gold Coast drivers trial left turns on red lights

thats a lot of canberra roads, long 2-lane chicane sequences.
i was thinking australia already had the turn left with care signs? Or is that only for the little slip roads? my memory is shoddy now as its been nearly 10 years out of country, all the weed, bad politics and GMOs im guessing.
not all states here have the turn right on red feature. Its actually a little confusing when im travelling, but cali has it so I'm in the habit of doing it - I usually also ignore left turn red arrows if nothing is coming though, i run those fuckers all the time.
4 way stop signs here are good driver training, particularly when intersection lights are out or flashing orange. Everyone gets through with a minimum of fuss based on the 4 way stop sign rules. The bad part is they're super inefficient when there is limited traffic, and fucking annoying - you have to come to a complete stop, and they put them everywhere. In the few miles to my mates place in the same town I have to navigate.... 10 of the fuckers. some of them at every intersection and cross street. consequently I can nearly get there in the same time on my road bike by blowing through them (15 mins) vs in my car and stopping everywhere. (yeah i know the bikes are supposed to 'obey' too, fuck your obey) Roundabouts would be better, and i think traffic would flow better. You probably get more fuckups and accidents though. 1st world problems.

So you don't bother where it's pointless, and you do bother when it's not.Originally posted by no1200 View PostThe biggest problem is roundabout size, small ones give no time for indication or assumption.
Ain't that hard ...
Seems it's different in different states, NSW has them but they're no longer common (getting mostly replaced with separate slip-lanes as time passes, which the clueless numpties going straight-ahead make sure the block by sitting as far back from the lights & the cars in front as possible).Originally posted by bv View Posti was thinking australia already had the turn left with care signs?Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

indicating left on exit is more useful on roundabouts with more than 4 entrances/exits, or ones that don't have the streets leading to them intersecting each other at exactly 90 degreesOriginally posted by myshortyboombaI've had many gauges in cars. I always found the conrods react faster than a gauge.
you can always hear them when they break and they stop the engine immediately so you can't do any more damage.

I get in the left lane if intending to take the first exit past my entry. If intending to take the second, third etc exit then I enter on the right lane. In both cases I indicate left before exiting. WTF indicate right, that is just plain confusing and does nothing to tell other drivers what I intend doing eg it could indicate that some dickhead wants to change lanes while on the roundabout.Originally posted by Forg View PostIt's the difference between "this is what I am doing, I am letting you know what I am doing" and "I've got NFI in general, specifically I don't ever use blinkers I'm too busy texting".
If at a simple X-intersection roundabout you don't indicate while continuing 'round the roundabout, then someone waiting at Exit 2 doesn't know whether you're a numpty that won't ever use blinkers & is getting off before them, or if you're someone who's decided they're not using the right blinker (because using it & not using it is the same) and you're getting off at Exit 3.
Of course its mostly about politeness & letting others know what you're doing; the reality is you'd be an idiot to just trust anyone's indicators and not instead observe where they're looking &/or wait 'til their car starts to exit the roundabout ... I doubt anyone here who doesn't has 6+ crashes a year actually trusts any other road user.
This shit is so confusing that the comments on my post obviously misunderstood wht I was saying, I do farken indicate left before exiting cunts

You cunts seriously over think this. Everyone up there seems to be doing something different and then complaining everyone else isn't doing the same as them.Originally posted by Uncle Arthur View PostI get in the left lane if intending to take the first exit past my entry. So if you are taking the third exit on a standard 4 exit roundabout you don't indictate right? No wonder it's fucked up then.
Turning left, indicate left. Straight on no indicator. Turning right, indicate right. It's pretty fucking logical.

I quite agree, though it's a little more complicated for roundabouts with other than four roads joining.Originally posted by womblesti View PostYou cunts seriously over think this.
