This shit is so confusing that the comments on my post obviously misunderstood wht I was saying, I do farken indicate left before exiting cunts
You are a deadset spastic if you don't indicate right if you're going right at a roundabout. Which lane you're in doesn't indicate jack shit, because there are plenty of roundabouts where you can go all the way around to the third exit (or turn right) in the left hand lane.

This is exactly why there needs to be refresher courses every 5 years. Old cunts got their license 40 years ago by driving around the block with the local copper, and haven't been brought up to speed on any new laws ever since.

Agreed there are exceptions, and if in doubt chuck on the left indicator when getting off. But why create all of this confusion for the 99% of circumstances where it is very simple.

The differing opinions from you guys up north indicate a lot of people do things differently and half the battle is everyone being on the same page.

It's such a non issue here because everyone does the same thing.

you can always hear them when they break and they stop the engine immediately so you can't do any more damage.

You do realise that by staying in the left lane after one exit you are blocking others from getting on the roundabout don't you. Inconsiderate much? That is why I do what I do and it works perfectly for me and everyone around. And I say again, I see bugger all people with their right blinker on and when they do so indicate it is irrelevant to me.

Think you are the one who needs a lesson, on sensible and courteous driving.

I personally follow the road markings on the road leading up to the roundabout to determine which lane it is acceptable to go where....

Edit. My indicators then tell others where I'm going to go.

Getting back on topic for a while though, I think the turn left on a red would be a good thing. Anything to improve traffic flow is welcomed.

Unfortunately down here I can't see it happening. The modis operandi for vicroads appears to be to impede traffic as much as possible, evidenced by the continued introduction of tram 'superstops' and ulteration of traffic signal patterns that do nothing more than slow the traffic down. It's like they are trying to justify the 'congestion charge' that will no doubt be implemented in the CBD shortly to 'improve traffic flow'.

Ah, no, it is you that needs to learn a lesson. Here, I've highlighted the RULE from the following website http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Safety/Que...undabouts.aspx

                  Turning right or U-turns
1.Position your vehicle in the right lane unless arrows on the road or signs indicate otherwise.
2.Use your right indicator when you enter the roundabout.
3.Give way to all vehicles already on the roundabout.
4.Before exiting, use your left indicator and follow the exit lane marking.
5.Stop indicating as soon as you have left the roundabout.

You are the one who will get in an accident by not indicating right. As people will assume (and rightly so), that you're going straight through the roundabout and not turning across in front of them.

FWIW I never go out into a roundabout based on what someone's indicators are doing or not doing, and ol' Uncle Arthur is a good example why - Don't follow the rules = I don't know WTF you are doing.
