The "magic number" for legroom for me is 62cm throttle pedal to edge of seat. 60 at a pinch. Much less than that and my ankle aches after a few minutes of driving. Wheels used to provide this measurement in road tests and the only older cars that get anywhere near that number are BMWs. Most other stuff is closer to 50cm - move your driver's seat forward 10-12cm from its usual comfortable position and see how you go

Fuck it, this is all sounding too hard and every time I have a few grand spare an oven or some shit blows up or something's due for rego or insurance or tyres or some fucking thing anyway and empties my car fund bank account.
