Some of you anti nanny staters sure do burr up when someone explores the outer limits of freedom.

Anybody with access to a fast bike and a pair of balls has done 250 kays a hundred times. There but for the grace of god etc..

i think he's saying heaps of cars can hit 200km/h in around 9 secs if the car is already rolling at 40-60km/h

standing starts are fine on the track but everyone knows M1-300s is all about rolling starts

would think a couple of months is pretty likely but good lawyer maybe a suspended sentence?

the only time i've lost my license, i spent the next year driving miss daisy. it sucked arse and i still normally drive um, non acatt approved, frequently. but sort of freedom limited by freedom not to run into and maim too many people in the process...

it's not freedom to act like a dickhead like that all the time, freedom goes hand in hand with responsibility not to maim cunts or self. i like to do stupid shit too but generally wait until highway so at least if i'm stupid caught doing 180 it's 80 over, less than double the limit fucking derp but not triple the limit and killing children. and a lot straighter and less roads to turn in at walking speed from and people at all.

maybe if your mate gets his suspended sentence you need to have a good chat. fucked off as i'll be if/when i lose my license next, well, fuck, i'll be on the bike. was bracing for it recently, have been slightly more sensible since despite another 13 over offence...

just have to think about the guys that do fuck up big to try and remind you it's all fun and games but push the limits too far and find that whole freedom/responsibility thing means more than fines when you're dead or having to give some poor cunt cpr all fucked up over the road.

I've got some bad news son.

                  http://www.sentencingcouncil.vic.gov...d-or-suspended

In Vic they brought in mandatory sentencing for repeat unlicenced drivers. 2nd offence carriers a mandatory stint in jail of 1 month. Apparently a few years back when they started to "get tough on speed' and upped penalties and operations, a lot of people were loosing their licence and kept driving anyway (not much option if you live in hallam or something). So basically, your friend will get at least 1 month. As above, a good lawyer, rehab check-in might help. That 1 month might be a "suspended sentence" ie. bullshit jail.

FWIW I went through the same shit when I was 20, blew through my 5 points and was facing jail time for driving to work, yet knew tons of people who were on multiple assault and robbery convictions who never even had to think about facing a jail cell. This state is fucked.

Erm Im not Vic lawyer but I had a quick look and there aint no mandatory jail for unlicenced driving - which would be stupid mind you http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/v...ct/rsa1986125/ (s30, 30AA)

The link was from an advisory council recommendation which is a govco gravy train committee made up of hairy armed lesbian academics and failed lawyers trying to make a point in lyfe...

Just to clarify- I'm not suggesting the guy is a role model or did the right thing- he is probably slightly retarded.

But he never crashed/ hurt anybody and didn't steal anything. He just likes going really fast and does it despite the law saying he shouldn't. Saying that you hope he dies is a bit harsh.

                        39.6 km/h average.

He's doing fuck all km/h in the first metre and 60km/h near the last.

Which is where the system has gone mad. Victimless 'crime' is punished more than where someone has suffered as a result of the 'crime'. And that does not happen without some public support as we have seen here.

Sorry dude, this entire scenario had absolutely 0 to do with the bike, no matter how it was designed or what it is capable.

The fucking monkey on the back of the thing is the problem. Obviously has zero regard for his own safety nor that of anyone else around him. For that, he should be repeatedly whipped and made to walk the streets with a rock in his shoe.

I'm generally on the same page Muz and I'm all for exploring the limits on the road when its appropriate and reasonably safe IE country back road, late at night, wide open freeways etc. However, as an earlier comment just dont do it when they are people everywhere and possibly kids around.

WTF. You obviously have never got on fast, light road bike then. They are barely holding onto the road at 60kmh let alone 200kmh. 200kmh+ on a bike is insanely fast and on a litre under hard acceleration the front tyre is usually off the deck. So you can't tell us that the bike was designed to do this on a public road with traffic and people around cause on the other side of the scale bikes don't brake for shit. So even if he was able to see something coming he couldn't stop for it. So no it's not designed to do this at all.
