I need a shifter for a trimatic..... which one?

The red 202 in my EK died last weekend.

I picked up a black 202 and trimatic yesterday that used to be in Al's VK.

The EK currently has an Aussie 4 speed, but I want to use the trimatic so I need to get a shifter. I would prefer it to look a little old school if possible so it doesn't look too out of place in the cabin. The EK is a daily driver so it needs to be easy to use in traffic (e.g. shifting between drive and reverse for parking/ 3-point turns etc). I haven't used a ratchet shifter before either

    Maybe something like this?

    B&M QuickSilver?

    or a Hurst Pro-Matic?

Thoughts? What's good and what's not?
Can I wear the Scream mask? The mask from Scream... when I do you from behind...

The B&M RHD Megashifter was pretty good in my uncles Premier, (253 + trimatic).

Its a straight gate until you get to D, then it ratchets down to the lower gears.
I have DOHV & pushrods, i go very fast. Now going much faster with TypeR power.

Have a look at Lokar shifters. Look like old style manual stick but has auto technology underneath and are very nice to use

Rares sell the extra adaptor bracket to fit to the later trimatics which have selector on passenger side.

The quicksilver looks more suitable imo.
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Quicksilver... Good shifter, not that annoying to use in a daily compared to others with reverse lockout switches (EG B&M Pro ratchet) - Did that for awhile and its a pain in the arse.. The change to the quicksilver made driving my old pig (VLT, 432rwkw, TH400 + 3,800 stall) every day a far more pleasant experience.

I liked the Pro-Matics I ran in my VH's and my LJ. Good solid construction and nice positive ratchet.... easy to use too: even my mum could use it in my last VH.... she just couldn't park it due to spooled diff and no power steering lol :D

Could you adapt the old hydramatic column shift to the trimatic, you would need a Trimatic with a RH shift, not the Commodore's LH trans though.

I have a Pro-Matic in the Sigma, great budget shifter with an old school look

Only thing i dont like about is its a tad noisy when selecting gears
