Thanks bloke. Tested the waters a bit, but have a heap of cool "stuff" to post up from Monday (when I am officially in the role).

Definitely on my radar, but paying for it is the tricky

Useless trivia - GT actually accidentally bought that Beetle back recently. He didn't even realise it was the same car until the bloke casually mentioned it was used by a car mag in a story.

Marv when is the first issue under your reign of terror?
The May issue will be my first. The boys wrapped up Amac's last (March) on Tuesday, we've got April going together now, but my first full issue will be May

Come back once I've moved into my palatial* office and we can sit around drinking beer while I pretend to be in an important advertising meeting.

Is april going to be the issue with my car on the front? LOL
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Can we get posters of unaffordable cars back in the magazine? Pretty please?

              Thanks

BTW what's with the content lately ?

This month had a few write ups but most of the car tests were from George Kacher and other overseas write ups. There was not much Oz input.

Take out the regular columns Morley, Taylor etc and the small reviews after the Letters to the editor there was not much new write ups

I wouldn't imagine a lot of staff would be looking to move. It's fucked.

Was 2 weeks into redesign issue with all-new, all different content. Nekminit, have to switch to old format and dig yarns from fat air due to a production issue. Cue mass OS content.

Should be proofing pages for Sept issue (same old format) now but my motivation is in the fucking bin. It's galling how close I got to making my perfect mag, but that's the industry I guess.

WHO WANTS TO BUY SOME FUCKIN' WEED? COME SEE ME AT THE UMINA SKATE PARK OR CALL 1800 UMINA WEED DELIVERIES

latest mag has lotsa nice cars but no test data and actual performance figures just some guys giving personal opinions on shit wtf

also need a better system for rating cars better, have various criteria and score each and sum them to get a total.

                              Doubt that's 24 months. 12 months.

Yeah. They've moving to Melbourne, not closing shop, mate.

See my post above. Bit hard to organise cars, journos, shooters, tracks, etc then put it all together in 2 weeks.

Scores for the cars would be good on one hand, but I think it might work better for Wheels, which is more stat-based (and has resources to put together those tables and data).
