STI to be under $50K Wow!

Oddly it retains the existing 2.5L donk.

Is the WRX using an FA20 or FB20??

OMG! ... I wouldn't want to pay more than $35k for a brand new one.

Show your alternative $35K the laps anywhere near an STi.

          What's a standard WRX cost? (serious Q)

          Comment

            $39,990

I have to say I didn't like the photos at all, but they look quite ok in the flesh. Saw on parked at a shopping centre the other day.

And for an extra $10K it's well worth it for Brembos + 6 speed, DCCD, diff, better suspension etc.

              $39k! I wouldn't pay more than $25k for a regular WRX.

Both will be great buys I think.

Should be popular, I really like the side profile.

it looked nice, sadly it was auto but with the paddle shifts it went well... certanly not laggy and the upshift was very quick. it only had 80km on it and it very quickly had that brand new bedding smell for the brakes

the harmon kardon was "meh" – i only had the radio on but it didnt really seem that great.

overall the car was "nice" – it handled well, wasnt too laggy and definitely livable for a daily driver but given the competition at this price segment i'm not convinced it's enough to sway too many away from Golf GTI/A Class/1 series etc... the STI is priced around $62k to compete with R/135/A250 etc but I'm not quite sure they'll achieve the sales they seek.

i did like the rear end, very BRZ ish. i believe the official launch is 1 may, if youre looking for a new ride around $50k perhaps it's worth a look ?
Given VW's popularity & Golf R prices, $52k up from $39k on a Subaru sounds like plenty of overpriced shit they're going to have to chuck in to make people interested.

                          They're already on 45-series tyres aren't they?
19's on ... what, 25-series tyres, are going to look a bit suss too.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

yep. Cheapest it's been since release.

Bloody odd so in 20 years the prices hasn't changed at all. And this doesn't even take inflation into account.

At at least these things are still made in Japan too.

where are you getting the 39k from, or are you quoting pre on roads? the one i drove was 52k d/a - $48.5 for premium+2k auto+1.5k for sunroof

Base model wrx is 39K off road, base model sti is 49K off road. Povo spec suits me fine, I see no pint in optioning these cars as they're for thrashing.

So wrx drive away about 42xxx depend on how well you neg.
