Saw a wagon one online somewhere, actually looked fucking good. Proper gen4 liberty lines without the bonnet long headlights of the gen5.

I think they're applying a different name to the wagonoid they're releasing ... it's not a WRX nor an Impreza, but it's barely more different from an Impreza than an XV is.Originally posted by cracka View PostSaw a wagon one online somewhere, actually looked fucking good.
Is this what you're talking about, the Le Forg?

That's only the "concept" version, I reckon they'll bring the appearance of the front more into line with the Impreza & WRX when it's produced.Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

The Liberty is currently approximately the size of the Queen Mary II.Originally posted by 1uzusee View PostThat looks pretty good. But I still don't understand why the WRX still exists (with the Liberty being around).
In fact, the upcoming facelift will include a trio of water-slides on the roof.Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Saw a new WRX in the flesh today and it's even uglier than in the pictures. This one was blue but MAYBE in a black/dark grey it would look OK.No. Driving an esky along the footpath will be the end humanity. This must be stopped.
"Lol!! The son of satan will rideth thine esky, wearing nought but the beater of wives and the double secured half sandle, and he will wave his hands in great mirth ushering in the end of all mankind"

so I test drove one of these today, a local dealer dropped by and showed us through the new WRX – the interior is much more refined and less boy racer-ish... the model i drove was their "premium" roughly $52k.
it looked nice, sadly it was auto but with the paddle shifts it went well... certanly not laggy and the upshift was very quick. it only had 80km on it and it very quickly had that brand new bedding smell for the brakes
the harmon kardon was "meh" – i only had the radio on but it didnt really seem that great.
overall the car was "nice" – it handled well, wasnt too laggy and definitely livable for a daily driver but given the competition at this price segment i'm not convinced it's enough to sway too many away from Golf GTI/A Class/1 series etc... the STI is priced around $62k to compete with R/135/A250 etc but I'm not quite sure they'll achieve the sales they seek.
i did like the rear end, very BRZ ish. i believe the official launch is 1 may, if youre looking for a new ride around $50k perhaps it's worth a look ?
