Clean up will be an issue as well, when the cars die, who is responsible/who will enforce the removal of the wrecks from the hosters property, can't imagine they would want a bunch of wrecks on his land after the event.

problem with "legitimate" venues, is as it's a race it needs to be done by a corporation with PI, PL, workcover and all sorts of expensive insurances. Wakefield won't let you host something like this without it.

Some of you seem to be taking this way too seriously, essentially its just a bunch of blokes thrashing some paddock bashers around on a mates farm and getting pissed after/during.

Race circuits scrutineer the cars, provide ambos, flag marshalls and some level of safety barriers around the track to protect the racers and spectators. If something happens they can point to this stuff and say we took reasonable precautions blah blah blah. I agree its bullshit but thats how it works... the shit lands on the easiest target which is usually the land owner.

I reckon a better option is to find an isolated tract of state forrest (that is not water catchment)and just go for it. Everyones responsible for themselves including dodging the ranger.
