with a diesel you generally dont want to go over 500c. i forget what petrol engine temps can get (its in my old trade school notes) but iirc they can get to and upwards of 1000c?Originally posted by StanM3 View PostInteresting... Wouldn't the exhaust on a turbo diesel be hotter than a petrol (na) equivalent?

So preventing a fire from built up grass youre too lazy to remove is all you can come up with????Originally posted by R_ZEEI've heard that they have gotten so good at it that you can't tell.....exept for the missing clit and I don't think 90% of the people here would bother looking for that anyway unless it unlocked an extra 10hp

with or without DPF, a diesel could set fire to long grass anyway. it was a dud point.Originally posted by rj_astra View PostWhat about diesels with a DPF? They get extremely hot when

Cons:
that massive pillar gives me the shits
petrol only
auto only
ifs
no room inside
look like a girl's car
pro:
crawl control in the latest edition
standard rear diff lock
traction control now works in the front even if the diff lock is engaged.
plenty of off the shelf aftermarket stuff.
will do 90% of the tracks and gives the patrols/cruiser recovey practice on the other 10%Originally posted by RotaUteI take it you're a PF member by the gay sarcastic comment that I'm sure you thought
was funny after 2 beers, but it was lamer than possibly recordable.

The Patrol has 605kg, which is more than a prado but still far from adequate. One set up and loaded for touring will nearly certainly be over.
Four fat adults has the potential to put one of these things over.
Do the front ends still have cracking problems? Haven't heard about it for years.
