Ford didn't make AWD TT XF, aftermarket turbo company made some. They were actually XE not XF.

There was also Dick Johnson Grand Prix turbo (6cyl) (XE not XF) that were aftermarket but I think they had some deal going where you could buy them through Ford dealers.

I imagine you've got to have the overall volume running down the line to keep it going, then you can play ream-o-rama with the ones people will pay extra for.
That's probably the reason BMW, Mercedes et al sell cars for no profit in the USA; so it's cheaper to make the cars they arse-rape the rest of the world for.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Tony Abbot blamed the carbon tax for increasing the price of each falcon $400 extra and that supposedly killed it cause no one wants to pay extra for a locally made car and Julia the tart is to blame for their demise and needs to apologise. Seriously why do we have these 2 corrupted parties full of BS distractions from the real issues and still ruling our great country with subsidies for crap cars no one wants.

lol. if your not stupid, you would haggle the fuck out of the salesman, which will more than cover the carbon tax.

and LOL even more because you believe what tony abbott says.

The AWD twin turbo Falcon was the XF, there was one under going restoration of AFF a few years ago iirc.
The AIT Falcon turbo, and the Dick Johnson Grand Prix turbos, WERE NOT factory turbos, or even fully fledged factory approved conversions for that matter. They were aftermarket conversions which were acknowledged by Ford but not 100% approved by them, most dealers wouldn't touch them because they had to wear any warranty claims caused by the turbo conversions. Same with the later EA turbo conversions by AIT, AVO etc. Iirc the Grand Prix Falcon was actually done by the mob behind the Holden Country dealer team, same sort of thing APV did with the VN and EA.

AFAIK the first aussie turbo was the UC Torana SL/T which was also not a factory fitment, but was a Holden approved dealer fitted mod/kit.
The first factory turbo that I can think of was the VLT. Ford didn't do a factory turbo ever, until the BA. (Aussie made stuff anyway, not counting the Euro small cars and diesels).
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

                  No. Including Jap stuff.
We were talking about the locally made cars, not imported stuff.

Assembled is not the same as designed and built though. Laser was a Mazda 323. Get back to talking about falcadores, they are so much more interesting.

Yeah, I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek about the XF being "available" in AWD turbo form.
AIT were really only using the car as a marketing device, I don't think they thought anyone would pay the silly money they claimed they wanted for one (I honestly can't remember but I think it was sorta like $200k ... and I remember my old man's company-car XF Ghia being $23k at the time).

When Falchoon said it was actually an XE; I thought maybe he meant it had started life as an XE even though they put XF panels, bumpers, lights etc on it. We were just starting to drive in '87-ish & there was a guy around the corner from a mate who had a black "big block XF" (something of a work of art, was in Street Machine etc); something relating to engine-bay room/shape meant he'd started with a V8 XE body and fitted XF Ghia interior, bumpers, lights, guards etc on it.
