Interested to know, what was I heap of shit about it? Poor fit? I assuming he hasn't crashed and suffered a head fracture or anything like that.
Big bulky lump of plastic. He just bought it for the Hampton rally so no big deal but the m2r one I bought for fuck all more seemed heaps more comfortable, lighter and better built.

This was 4 years ago though
So you mock me for not buying an aldi helmet then later say how shit they are? Cool.
I've always had good helmets since I started racing. I appreciate low weight and comfort so why skimp if I can afford it?

That bike ramp looks identical to the one I bought off ebay a couple of years ago for $80. I don't really trust it with my ninja, I carry a car stand to put under the middle cause the flex makes me nervous.
Knowing wholesale margins on clothing I would check it out before deciding it is all cheap shit. They could easily be the same manufactured cost as stuff selling for three or four times the price.
I think some of you guys would change your mindset about cheap gear being ok if you saw the aftermath from trackdays and/or guys coming off up the hill. Seeing gloves and leathers blow apart at the seams on first contact with the pavement(even at relatively low speed) leaving skin exposed suddenly makes the name brand stuff look like good value. I've had 2 decent offs in my Alpinestars leathers and none of the leather has been compromised. Personally I'd happily pay the extra to not deal with weeks of rush healing, but each to their own.
