haven't seen one at the test ' n ' tune go any quicker than 14.5. That one had a big front mount too.

In fact saw 2 late model Liberty wagons too, 1 turbo and one 3.0. both couldn't break 17 seconds. must be fairly heavy

Magna's have the ability to do a 14.5 standard.

And to everyone who has driven a Magna and not rate them, they should drive a 3.5 manual.

I don't know of a better bang for buck car in terms of performance, reliability, practicality, insurance premiums, parts cost, fuel consumption( for a 14 second car), attention from cops, thiefs, and availability.

Is this Chisholm's other login or something? How fast are they around Wakefield?

Have I told you all I did a 1:10 in my Fagna yet? What about the 240km/h I can do through turn 1 at EC?

I had use of a manual ralliart magna for a while back in '04 and whilst I do rate it, I'm realistic of its limits. Unlike beeraddd it would seem.

A Magna beating a Galant/Legnum,*guffaws*. The only reason I could possibly think of is the extra displacement... but without turbos and now the 6A13TT ECU is completely tuneable now, I doubt it.

                I don't know hey.
Yeh, I do beeradd. I'd rather own a palcon for a few reasons, cbf disclosing. I have no major magna hate having owned one, it was punchy but boring as shitballs and mates 3.5 manwell just skidded a lot and beat stock Vr and Vs'. That was it. Never got out thinking "woah, need to trade my vn for that shit".

The bfyb champion sticker compared to what else you can get for $10k makes me lol

I reckon a manual magna driven well, will still own a turbo legnum....by a fair margin too.
Mate, struggle as I can, best I can find for the mix of fagnabators out there that fit the mix; 6.5 for the ralliart, 6-7 (at best) for n/a 3.5's 0-100. Most reports seem six flat or under for legnum on the other hand so for above claims, I'd expect evidence...

In fact, these cunts actually show a much less rosy spread of awesome one or two good uns aside - http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=95096

lol 2. See above link. Maybe the ralliart. From my reckoning, people were surprised when they were hosing falcadores (mid 15's) with their sporadic HIGH 14 runs. Things have sort of moved on since then...

I don't know of a better bang for buck car in terms of performance, reliability, practicality, insurance premiums, parts cost, fuel consumption( for a HIGH 14 second car), attention from cops, thiefs, and availability.

Apart from standing-start times, the AWD Magnas were quicker than the 2.0 Liberty GT's that were around at the same time; and they were carrying a fair bit of extra weight (plus they were all auto I think?).

forg, I think this is one of your trademark tailchasers mate... similar cars and power/weight I'm guessing so we're probably not talking about 1-3 sec 0-100/400 differences here.

A combination of a hairs dick either way, a million possible tiny factors fore or against and a nice big dose of no one gives a fuck past the internet pissing contest.

Magnas are boring as fuck standard cars with shittier than vr/s interiors and unless you're chisholm (his being a decent rig notwithstanding) don't even blip the radar - unless there's a magna sized chip on some cunts shoulder or some strange needs. And if you want to actually have some fun punting it, mildly mod it to take advantage of awd, I would have thought a legnum. Or a lib.

Except all this is pissing in the wind as he already bought a Lib so good on him.

But with $9700 - $14700 to spend on mind-altering substances, you could believe your Magna was interesting?

These things are bargain $$ (in fact the whole Octavia range with 3yr warranty and services incl)

                        Are they any good?

Fair deuce. Gets a sage nod that one.

Incidentally... Worked well for me and my $100 magna. But all the interesting happened under the influence of something. In fact, beerholms only solid salient point is that looking nothing like a vn, a magnabator is unable to draw police attention as there is this black hole of a lack of defects to be plastered to them owing to their clientele consisting largely of the camriolla brigade.

Besides that, I'd rather take almost any other thing on the market including a $10k diesel hilux/$3k brumby/$1500 fozza as though they fail some criteria, the police check is a solid, I could actually take it off road and I still have tt whooshdore for actual fun. Or, in keeping with theme, I'd get a shagged old VY SS wagon, bang a tow bar, tow a tinny and laugh at cunts in magnas that think their high 14 will mangle my lo mod high 13.

The fozzas make a solid, solid case if venturing vaguely off road is an issue. Something I'm personally considering due to their price of cheap dirt.

Lib would definitely kill as a daily though.

You've mostly made sense but I've gotta strongly disagree with you on this one.
VR - VS interiors are horrid, vile things. Almost every example I've seen has the passenger part of the dash warped from the sun.
As where TE onwards magna interiors are actually pretty well designed, a big step up from the TS.

Hah, yep. Except by now it's every one. And don't forget the various buttons that go in, never to come out...

It's close to hair meet split but I won't argue - more the acres of black hard plastic in all the (non verada) magnatrons I've been in that anesthetised me. Versus the various shades of sun faded plastic in a Vr/s. It's definitely one of those best std arguments.
