I was in BKK last week. I saw more mercs and porches there than I see here. I saw a massive RUF tuning billboard, which amazed me, its something I bet 99% of aussies have never heard of. Seems to be alot of money there, just perhaps not as evenly spread as the dumb masses would demand here.

Every part of the engine was examined and evey part if the inlet tract pressure tested for leaks..... nothing.

Only water to be found was some moisture in the EGR valve.

The engine guru's actually had a theory that somehow the crank sensor was knocked out of whack and caused it to inject fuel at the wrong time which could have caused it to lock. no way to substantiate this theory as the engine and all parts attached to it were completely dis-assembled by the lovely Ford dealership.

That sounds more possible, though the injectors would have to stay open for a fair while to fill the pots with fuel.
It would also make for a warranty claim.
