Sounds about right, PSA say 20k per year. Fwiw my Hiace is on a Toyota fixed price service plan and it's $170 per service, as was the Rav4. Except Toyota only pays until the 60k service.

IMO, the Fiesta looks better, the critics are raving about it, it's cheaper, and it won't drive you batshit insane with maintenance costs when it has a couple of years and a few kms under its belt.
Pffft, there wasn't anything wrong with your Clio. Cost around $800 all up, $440 of that on having a machine shop fix the head...

$800 is less than what some other people pay for a major service...

That said I dunno what a non-maintained one is likee. Yours was looked after from the start so it was a good car...

Anywho, saying a Peugeot is crap because a Renault is crap is like saying a Holden is crap because you once owned a dodgy Falcon...

...you didn't see all the things I replaced leading up the valve munching....

Top Gear rate the Fiesta ST above the 208 GTi, I'd put up with a shithouse dealer if it was as good as they say. Otherwise I'd go the DS3 Sport, if only we got the DS3 Racing here.

Did anyone see that the Clio RS200 EDC will lob here in Dec at 29K + ORC?

Damn the 30k price point has a lot of options these days.

I'm still leaning toward the 86 though. It may not be as fancy as these Euros, but I bet it'll be worth 75% of it's RRP after 5 years, whereas these things will be down around 50%

i don't understand why people buy brand new cars and care about resale. if resale is soooo important to you, buy something a few years old.

The thingis, good resale usually means demand.
This can ease the movingon of a vehicle when the time comes.

The problem with that is the 86 is a 'fad' car. It could just as easily fall out of favour in a couple of years time and be almost as hard to shift as one of the frogs, especially when there are so many out there. In contrast a 208 GTi, more so a DS3 Sport, will always be uncommon so could actually be easier to sell as those who want one won't have much of a choice. Granted there are only so many mentally disturbed people who buy French cars willingly but so be it:p

Haha the 86 has a been a fad car for 20 years. I think the owners can sleep well knowing the prices will remain ok.

The French cars are still French so will always have shitty resale no matter what the cardigan wearers on aussiefrogs might crap on about.
