The French cars are still French so will always have shitty resale no matter what the cardigan wearers on aussiefrogs might crap on about.

I meant the new 86 thing, the old one did fall out of fashion for a few years.

It won't. It's a small, cheap, reliable and fun rwd. Completely the opposite to an expensive, unreliable, French fwd hatch.

Sure the French car might be fun but when it suddenly catches fire in a few years the fun wears off.

Looked at a bunch of these yesterday, the pug and citroen are a hell of alot nicer inside than everything else. Need to do some test drives.

Renault are using the Getrag Dual Clutch gearbags in the Megane, I'd imagine the Clio unit is the same.

The Getrag is dry-clutch - basically the same as what Ford has been using for a few years in Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo.

There's not much weird a French left in any Renault once you ignore the styling! Japanese turbos, German gearbags, or Jap for manuals etc etc...

I certainly hope it's a lot better than the dual clutch that was in the focus loaner I was given at the beginning of the year. What a horrendous piece of shit that was! Worst gearbox I've ever driven and I'm including in that the auto in mum and dads VN commodore when I was growing up...
