That's not resto modding though..... That's just conversions. Big difference.

No one is arguing that point, can you fucking read? :knock:Originally posted by yohoes View PostModern motors go harder, and do it easier and more reliably
I bet half you cunts dress up all 50s greaser-style and laugh at cars with 'those dang fangled computers' running them..
Imagine modifying cars to make them perform better! The fucking outrage!
And no I'm not some "greaser-style" cunt who laughs at cars with 'those dang fangled computers' running them (and I don't Rock 'n' Roll dance), you Latte drinking rice boy. :D
The point I'm trying to make is a correctly maintained no tech vehicle can still be a reliable daily driver.
Hell even a poorly maintained car can be a reliable daily driver (as my Chev has proven)./ --------------- \

Some people must wonder how the fuck people dailied their cars in the 30's/40's/50's/60's/70's and 80's

Restomods - latest craze in US apparently
I'm almost certain this isn't anything new, yanks have been building Pro Tourers for a while now which essentially is just the old body over complete new age driveline and in some cases chaaaaaa-seee is fabricated or from newer models. They race the things too, is a good category to follow, some awesome cars being pedaled in anger
That Medlan Auction shop is about 80% of these sorts of cars.

what are you talking about? no camaros had LS1's til 98?Originally posted by yohoes View PostPutting a carb LS1 in a 69 Camaro is ok, but an EFI one would be crossing the line?
Edit:
Soopy - funnily enough, a mate of mine has recently completed swapping a warm 350 / t350 combo out for a LS1 / T56 combo in a 69 Camaro.. Car is quicker, uses less fuel, and has a better box..
..and on imposter forg's other post, a different mate has pulled a 5k from his Rolla for a SR20 - guess the results!
a '69 camaro would be way cooler with a big block
use way more fuel, might not even make more power, but it'd be way cooler

Bondomods ftw.
Cover with mud, block it into a shape for paint, sell at auction.
Americans are dumb enough to purchase.
I'd never buy a freshly painted vehicle at auction.Pest Control - Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich and South West QLD PF discounts apply.

Off topic a little but ohhh sooo true. Typical American "resto" is truly appalling in body and paint. Not sure why they seem to struggle so badly.Originally posted by myliberty View PostBondomods ftw.
