HI Again,

could I please get as many of your views on which route is the right one for us `?

we would like to create a new record for others to take up the same challenge ... and therefore a definition should be found.

1. Closest driveable road to the coast without backtracking
or
2. Passing by some important Places along the coast. Should be of "geographical importance" not just a "nice place..." I think about 10-15 points should be selected


Pros and cons

alt. 1
it might result in discussions of what is driveable road and what is cloestest to the coast .. but is in a way the right way way to drive around Australia ..

Alt. 2
Easy for others to do the same and we will not miss out on Darwin. ( we cont go to Canberra as its not on the coast.. ) More open for navigation .. to make it a bigger challege for the teams trying to beat the record.

As we are in the final planning please let me get as many contructive replies as possible .. could also be send to jan@grc.as

Doesnt matter what way you do it people will still complain, i would look at sticking to highways/freeways/motorways closest to the coast

I reckon you should follow Highway 1 all the way round.
