1350km in the first 12 hours. Pretty impressive.

That's not a bad route though from what I can see, it's not just Hwy1

it's funny, when a team of fairly prepared people who've done similar things before lets pf know that they'd do a trip around the country, they're frowned upon and told that they'd never make it. yet when some drunks decide to buy a shitheap car and do the same, but in a shitter, with random people driving, and the car's not even moved over 20km, it's all "yeah, we'll piss this in"
hi longest drive people! i love what you're doing, and i wish you all the best! you've been going great so far already! as stated before, i'm not sure you will make it, but i sure as hell hope you do! what you're doing is awesome!Originally posted by tim510More rabbit less turtle!

Given PF people have to work. Perhaps we need to GPS log the time taken to drive round Oz and add it up. Then compare to the Swedes?"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower." - Mark Donahue Penske Porsche 917

to be fair tut, I think everyone was sceptical about these guys for doing it in one go with 12 hour driving stints and no breaks on roads their not familiar with issues they've not encountered on other trips.. Unless I've missed something, it would seem the AU is going to do a few hundred k's a week as it hops between drivers, who will likely be familiar with teh roads they're driving on, or at least the conditions...Originally posted by myshortyboombaI've had many gauges in cars. I always found the conrods react faster than a gauge.
you can always hear them when they break and they stop the engine immediately so you can't do any more damage.
