Fiat was the work of Gandini I think wasn't it? They are certainly a polarizing design. I spotted a couple of ratty examples in europe last year and I find them quite challenging to like.
It was actually styled by Chris Bangle, challenging seems to be his thing
According to Wiki, the Lacetti sedan and wagon was Pininfarina.
I'm not sure that's right, and the Wiki on Giugiaro/Italdesign indicates it was theirs (which makes sense given how much work ID did for Daewoo around that time).

Marlin: split windows are cool, but a lot of that is because they canned it after one year and there is a novelty associated with it. I personally think the convertible looks a lot sleeker.
Tony: I agree, the C2 is one of the prettiest cars ever to come out of the states. the early C3s were good before impact bumper laws killed the design.
