    It was actually styled by Chris Bangle, challenging seems to be his thing

      You're right. It was another Bangle Mangle!

      Nubira was Guigiaro. And check out his concept Jaguar Kensington to see how it started.
      He also offered what turned out to be the Matiz to Fiat no?

      Kensington;

          Healey 3000. Pretty, pretty car.

          And despite my strong distaste for all things converyible.... here's another I've always found very attractive. Datsun Fairlady 2000.

          And why not ad a 550 Spyder for good measure

                Err that prototype turned into the Daewoo Leganza, not Nubira.
                According to Wiki, the Lacetti sedan and wagon was Pininfarina.

                  Sorry. Not right up to speed on Deawoo's lineup. I really should get onto that pronto!

                    I'm not sure that's right, and the Wiki on Giugiaro/Italdesign indicates it was theirs (which makes sense given how much work ID did for Daewoo around that time).

                        can't believe one of these hasn't been posted yet either.

                          True pornography is a '63 Stingray split window. The 'vert loses the best aspect of that era Corvette IMO.

                              buggers me why the made that corvette for only 4 yrs (1963-67) when they made the c3 and c4 for over a decade and they kinda suck

                                Marlin: split windows are cool, but a lot of that is because they canned it after one year and there is a novelty associated with it. I personally think the convertible looks a lot sleeker.

                                Tony: I agree, the C2 is one of the prettiest cars ever to come out of the states. the early C3s were good before impact bumper laws killed the design.
