Apparently they're getting a 2.5 TD, I suspect it might be the new Isuzu engine.

As apposed to the "new" 2.5TD that it currently has (which is not Izuzu) ?

They will get the same 2.8L Cummins as we do. Along with a 2.5L direct injection petrol engine and a V6 (alloytec)

These vehicles have less to do with the DMAX than the world market Colorado does.... quite a few chassis mods for US market.

The only thing the current Colorado and D-max have in common is that the D-Max uses the core body shell from the Colorado.

Current oz model dosent have a Cummins thats the Foton.
Current model has the VM Motori afaik.

Colorado, one of the worst things I've ever driven. I don't know what the steering wheel is connected to, but it's not the same car. The diesel, I spent half hour trying to work out when to change gears because I couldn't find ANY power curve.

Its a VM Motori that Holden gave the "Duramax" tag too trying to cash in on the name from the popularity of the US rigs.
Means as much as Toyotas O2 advantage slogan.

Another article I read says it will be a 2.5L Diesel, not the 2.8. But even that article isnt sure, as it mentions 'a version of the 2.8'

the 2.8 is made by VM motori. basically the same motor jeep has been using since the 90's, but with much improvements over the years.
