Imagine it's 45 years old & has rubbish suspension; then it'd be right up your alley.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

So, you drive a base model shit box, which is a shit box. And then assume the $60,000 luxury variant is going to be exactly the same?

          Sound logic.

            Slick launch

The yanks get all the toys. What's with it being called a 2015 model?

Mid $60k for the v8 in the states. That'll be about $150k over here won't it?

as if this luxury shitbox will match up to even a '96 E38.

I am starting to see the Korean's as the Japanese of the 201x's

Liking the cars they are producing and also very reliable.

Fixed. The Japanese are still here :p just 20 years down the track. I know what you mean though. It's especially visible in Australia where Hyundai for example advertise hard. I was in Sydney for a couple weeks in Oct and you could be forgiven for thinking Japanese brands didn't exist if you only watched TV and didn't go outside.

I might be Robinson Crusoe here, but I don't like the Mondeo at all. Generic blob, plain to look at, body sides too high, bonnet too high, Aston clone grille looks silly at that height/scale.

Why would they sell it here? Australians don't want large RWD big engine'd 'boat's'...........hasn't this been covered? Oh wait, it's import, so even if it's got a Kia badge and isn't as good + over priced it will still be the new cool.

People won't pay $75k for a Holden that costs $75k to make ... but if it's made like a Lexus they'll pay $75k, and KIA will build+import it for $35k so make an absolute motza on it - where Holden will go broke 'cos they make no profit & their equivalent is made more like a Lada.

Haven't sat in a VF I see Forg...much, much better than Holdens used to be as far as material quality goes. Build quality has been fine for some time now.

In any event, about 800-1000 people per month still buy large V8 sedans in Australia so there's a market going begging if Holden moves to wrong wheel drive failboats in a few years.

I think that the Hyundai/Kia pricing in the US for these limos was that it was a Lexus LS size, for a GS price.

So I guess it would be...80-$100k for the big engine version if it were sold here? These things aren't cheap, but are made pretty well inside...I'd say maybe 90% of Lexus quality.
