I know it's better than it used to be, but it's not a Lexus.
In fact a Statesperson probably has better-feeling brakes, better steering feel, and probably handles better; but those things aren't what the people this car would be aimed-at (if it came here) are looking for.

Having said that, I personally think a $75k-$90k luxo with a KIA badge would be pushing shit up a hill with a pointy stick in the first 10 years or so of it being on the market; regardless of how well screwed-together it might be. And I say that 'cos I've had a think about what those people are looking for, and I think painting the badges gold on a MB C160 would suit better ...
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

No chance of anyone paying 80 to 100 large for a Kia. None.

Maybe a few people would trade-in the 90's Infiniti they've had since new on one?

Would never buy a Lexus as anything but a price induced decision. At $200k for an LS - the only people who ever really want to be specifically carried in them are Toyota dealers.

However, if the ES hybrid does the figures quoted, looks good and has space then will have to have a look at them.
