My GB Build I havent taken much in the way of any decent photography in the early stages, ... and wont be built to the standard of a lot of other classic tarmac cars, ... and the Camaro isnt really a "race" car unless u include street racing and skids. .... Otherwise I'd happily offer a car build.

I think when Rowds finished with his house Reno's ... the build of the wooshodore dirt car supermoo could be interesting

It's been a tremendous effort from Neil over the years (has it really been that long??) and I salute his efforts to build the magazine to where it is today.
I also welcome Jim and look forward to the development of Race Magazine 2.0

I also think that latest cover looks uber sexy :D

And I also enjoy print magazines much more than e-zines..... I don't always have a tablet or phone with me in the dunny but there's always a mag or two to read :D

I've bought every issue since stumbling across #1 in a newsagent, and haven't thrown a single one out. Too much good stuff and glad to support a publication that supports non-professional motorsport. Great to hear it's growing

One - I love a magazine. I love the look, the smell, the feel, the ability to pick it up in an instant and continue what you read a week ago, the ability to store it for years, share it with your kids or even give it to a stranger. I love how race magazine is kept in the national library records and is a little slice of history for all those in it. In fifty years someone will be able to go and pick up a copy and read it and that's kind of cool.
Two: it gives a little more credibility...it's harder making a magazine instead of a blog - much harder, it takes more commitment and it somehow seems more real. But I may be biased.
This is the best magazine about motorsport in Australia. You really support the club racer and not just V8 Supercars like most other magazines.
I wish you the best of luck in the furture.

It is very unlikely we will ever cover the V8 Supercars or the F1. We really want to fill that gap which is pretty much everyone else.
My view is that if I would never ever be able to afford to do it, I don't particuarly want to read about it either. So F1 is out, hillclimbs, dirt circuit, rally, supersprints, production racing and IPRA are all in.

Not to mention I LOVE seeing innovative ways of going fast. To me at least the guy with the AWD rotary powered Alfasud is more interesting to talk to than the guy that just beat him in a brand new WRX.

Hopefully this is also what the readership thinks!
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

I believe every man is interested in engineering that is within his reach, most especially if it's clever.

F1 etc is "Wish I could do that" while you guys bring on "I could do that".

If we can learn from it we should look at it, but Race Magazine is never going to become another V8 supercar magazine, as there is no future in it.

Wow! I thought you'd sold the magazine to someone else from the thread title! Great to see a partnership on it instead, phew! I will help in my own small way. I've been buying the mag since issue 1 and have only missed a few along the way. i've done as much Facebook good as I can so I wish you and Jim all the success in the world. The longevity of the magazine is testament to the much needed market segment you serve

Somehow I think my build will be nearly as aesthetically challenged as the galant.... :-)

I reckon I might be able to start on it by march/April if I'm lucky

Hey ... just a thought ... happy to chuck in $5 or so if it helps you guys buy Newscorp & stop their evil shittery.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

You can buy back issues to fill in the gaps

Sorry Nafe I missed this. Yep it has been a long time. I started Race a year after my son came out of intensive care after he was born and he's in grade six next year!

I do want to acknowledge the enormous contribution that People like Nafe and others on this forum have made to Race Magazine. Without such support we could not produce material of such quality. Thanks guys.

A few people have pointed out the stagnant website.
Work has started on this today. It should be pretty awesome when done, with decent high res galleries, new forum (old data and member logins will be carried over) and an e-store for back issues, merch and whatnot.
