I need to get my eyes checked, I thought it was a 4 seater hence the extended ugliness, however with those wheels it does look a million times better.
Whats with all the space behind the seat and the raised tank? Bulk luggage storage?

Defintely needs a dirty old v8 of some description, maybe an unwanted 283 or even a 1UZFE with smoothed rocker covers and a set of those OBX ITB's and extended trumpets for a period style look?

Wheels as above and just put a cheap 350 in it and drive it. I don't see anything major wrong with it apart from those 2 things. (I would maybe consider a little taken off the windscreen too I guess)

Plenty of rod tragics would piss and moan even if you did put period wheels on it, and a V8, but fuck 'em you'll never impress everybody and so long as you enjoy it who cares. It's a good base for a bit of fixing up if the price is around 4-7k.

That's not an unfair price. Can you store it and are you able to tinker on it here and there? Hot rods aren't hard to work on and you can put a V8 in one easier than regular cars. I'd offer 4k and see if that gets a nibble. You never know they might just say fuck it and take it. A V8 and wheels wouldn't set you back much and you could be cruising in this by January for well under 10k.
