I get customers coming in occasionally asking for waste oil. They pour it along the fence line and apparently it keeps snakes out. Any truth?

Nah not all but there's heaps of snake oil salesmen.

You'd think the bins would be easy to spot from the black concrete within a 10m radius of the bin.

I bought a 40l plastic drum for $20. Every time I do an oilchange I dump it in there, then whenever I go to the tip I take it with me and empty it out there - they have a bin.

I had a 30L container that I used to empty out at the tip into their recycling drum. Until one day the stupid scrag told me it was commercial quantity and she should charge me for it. Went to empty into drum but it was locked, asked for key and told no, leave your container there....old oil now goes back into old oil contsiners and into bin. Fuck the council cunts and their power tripping weighbridge scrags.

We get it taken away for free at work. I think if you poitely asked most mechanics they'd let you chuck it in their waste oil drum

It's free here. Load of crap in a box trailer is like $15.

Once the old engine oil is drained it goes back into the new engine oil container that you've just poured into your motor.

This container then goes in your yellow recycle bin, as like the rest of us you want to save the planet.

Back into bottle straight into house hold waste bin or if you didnt use all the new oil just fill milk/ drink containers and chuck in bin.

I've got almost 200 litres I need to get rid of in Adelaide.

Just need to shift the drum to a place a truck can get at it.
