As above, what you do is write a letter admitting guilt/apologising/have clean history.

There is a chance you will receive a one-off warning, given your good history.

Doesn't hurt to try, money better in your pocket than theirs.

The police officer did not use a speed gun to catch Mr Cassidy but measured the speed by driving behind him.

If anyone cares, this is what I received in response to my letter. Seems they were happy to admit that my driving history was awesome, but insist that their cameras are infallible and maintain that the government needs its revenue regardless of whether I'm a law abiding citizen or not.

Seriously tempted to pay for court costs just to waste a day of their time (although admittedly, will probably waste more of my time than its worth)
