A Fabia Monte Carlo wagon would have been what I would have bought had there been one.

Best bet... look at engine used. CAVE is the original engine... CTHE is the updated version.

Problem with Twincharger in Polo GTI/Fabia RS is oil usage... the 118tSI in the Golf, tuned for economy, was the one that blew up.

Apparently VW dealers will top up oil between services for free.
We have a 1 year old Polo Gti with the CTHE motor - still drinks oil, but much better after 20k km. The old CAVE motor was apparently impossible to keep the oil full.
No problems with the engine, and the dealer will top up the oil for free.
The DSG gearbox on the other hand has had a new clutch pack fitted under warranty.
Let's see how that goes with new programming & a harder clutch compound.

Love the car though - have lapped the Collie track faster than a number of WRXs.
Lots of minis & mokes including a G13b powered Sports Sedan, a couple of Swift Gtis, a Goggomobil, Porsche 928S, Polo Gti, BMW 540i, a WRX and a few others.

Could get a 1.2TSI Fabia Wagon with DSG... then flash it for 100kw/200Nm
