For a V6 VT - not sure if serious ?

One of the apprentices at work just bought a pretty neat VT II SS with LSjuan 6 spd for $6800. "Only" 165,000kms too which isn't that bad...

The VTs are a serious bit of kit. Good investment options, you get what you pay for.

I struggled to get $7K for a VT2 SS with 90,000ks on the clock.
And that was 3 years ago.

There would not be a non-HSV VT worth more than $5K on the planet.

EDIT: I also paid $25K for a 3 year old HSV enhanced VT1 SS, and it was a piece of rattling shit by 2002.

              CSH time

In late 2000 i bought a 13,000 km dealer owned manual with sunroof VT II SS for 36k. Kept it 2 years, sold it with (from memory ?) 65,000kms on it for 33.5k

Therefore VT's are awesome and hold their value exceptionally well. Or i got lucky and dodged a bullet...

Are they nearly as good as a VS?
Looking to get something newer ...
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

V6 exec/acclaim vt's are sub $1000 cars and they will make you sad on the inside. At least at this point I guess everything that's going to fall off has fallen off, but that will be EVERY piece of trim, inside and out.

                          I think there is a 5.7 berlina or some shit 5k caryard nearby,probably sell for less...needs de-modifying.
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Sort of on topic: A mate of mine* bought a VX S2 SS manual for 7k yesterday with 112k's on board, stock apart from exhaust and what seems to be a 4.11 diff. Good nick, but red paint will be needing a cut and polish as usual.

                            * OK, it was me. Consequently got a 2002 Magna Sports Manual up for sale if you in WA and feel like some torque steer loving.

No link to ad but I did find the receipt for it which was 1x unregistered vl commodore and 4 weeks child support lol.
Also found a rather cheap schedule of rates. I never sat in the backseat for obv reasons.
