If it's unreg in NSW you need to get a Pink Slip (Minor Roadworthy) before the RTA cunts will give you an Unreg permit, pain in the arse. And you have to get the permit from the state you are coming from, unfortunately as it is a piece of piss to get one from Vic Roads.

Its currently registered in NSW. Its an unmodified bog standard car so will have no issues with passing anything.

EDIT: How fucking shit is it, that a RWC is not transferable between states. How the fuck does that make sense. Fucking retards. I should speed all over NSW, and tell these cunts to fuck off because I (as a Victorian) don't recognize their road rules. Cunts. /mini-rant.

        Sorry boys, have softed it.

The brake pistons free up helped the braking a bit, but ultimately we still only had about 25pc braking capacity, with 20 of the 25 pc being the right rear wheel only.

This, coupled with the ultra hard rubber ( looks like it was properly driven last sometime around 1996), meant that last night in the wet stopping the car took using the transmission, playing the brake pedal like the kick drum in a death metal track, yanking the handbrake and looking for evasive maneuvering space on either side of the slowing car in front. Keep in mind that the above process was only valid if I had a good 10 carlengths minimum to the car braking ahead.

Any less warning and it was just look for a lane to the left or right and hope for the best.

There were at least 3 of the latter instances before the steamtrain impression on the m8, with two of them being through intersections.

Had it been dry today we might have had a crack, but whilst keeping it moving is something I can deal with, risking a total failure to stop at 100kmhr in the wet just has me too jumpy.

To boot, we can't quite rustle up the fortitude to spend another day working on it in the rain for an uncertain outcome and my buddy has to be at work tomorrow.

        We are defeated!

It's getting stashed at a relos place and we're going home to regroup.

I know I know - weak as piss.

Was still a fucken good adventure!

If it is regoed there is no need to do anything, just drive it back and get a Roadworthy to transfer to Vic rego when you get home.

                  Yeah, nah. Not soft.
There is driving a shit box and having to fight it, and then there is driving a death trap and trying not to die. The latter is not fun.

Didn't spot how bad that first pic was.

That's it on the tilt tray last night.

I do have a couple of the dash at night - I'll find them.

driving on the ringroad last night, practically no brakes, teflon series rubber, no dash lights, holding a torch, and all in the rain.

That is an awesome offer bermo , thank you, but it's just been dropped off at my aunts at blackburn.

I may have an ms123 booster/master at home from the blue car and a bunch of other bits still on the rack at home.

I may still come back with bits and slam it together and drive the big green cunt home - just to spite it.

                              :-)
