Also, bear in mind that the Evo X is around 1600kg, so it's no light weight and it produces less torque (slightly less) than a GTO. But, in saying that, a GTO is certainly no Evo

A modern Evo with 200kg bolted into it would still run rings around a GTO. As you know, handling trickery has come a long way since the GTO/3000GT was conjured up. The 3000GT was pretty slippery, and therefore good for high speeds, but that's about all.

Horses for courses. An Evo isn't designed for the same purpose as a GTO/3000GT.

It would be interesting to have a "period" match up between a 93 Evo (like mine ), 93 sti, 93 GTR, 93 RX7 and 93 GTO with similar mods (eg just boost and exhaust - no big singles etc). Ie replay the best motoring style tests.

Are there any cars with pop-up headlights that don't turn yuck when they come up? I tried and failed to think of one.

                Looks are a taste thing.
Personally, I like MX5 with lights up, NSX is another, even first gen Integra is good.

Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

there's two GTO's getting around here for some reason. both have been fucked up by rim choice (stock height + chromies/something equally shit) and the wankers behind the wheel - 40yo+ dudes trying to re-live their glory days. complete with a big stereo, window down and cap backwards.

                                Fuck that is nice.

People forget a GTO was a GT - grand tourer. Just because turbo AWD doesn't make its a true sports car.
Regardless, its no GTR, nor was it meant to be.

                                Still 32R > for sure.
