Combi boxes are bigger than the Beetle to be fair.
Nah I just use early beetle boxes , I'm onto the 7th stock box in 20 years, runs high 11s.
The after market stuff for vws is huge with Albins making gear sets to the Mendeola boxes that can be optioned with a sequential setup. The Bug-tech shifters look nice

Cost probably depends on how much that workshop did for love and how much was charged. I think if you screwed the motor together yourself, the whole build inc. workshop labour would be close to 30k? (assuming you just build the motor, and they put it in + supply fit ecu & tune plus all the fabrication).

        Very cool.

Love it how it just fucking rockets!

Very keen to see it tuned for full noise!

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

Fantastic episode. Big balls driving a 12 second car with stock(ish) suspension / brakes in something that would fold like an accordion in a crash though!

500 bucks a minute of what? Minutes it took to build? Minutes it took to get down the 1/4?

Be interesting to see what they do with it. By my calcs, it's not something that could be engineered

Hmmm ok.... weird way to ask how much it cost?

Shirley more than 500 a minute anyway.

Guessing $50k in total if someone wanted to do the same project without all the help and contacts that MCM can draw on.

Did the rebuilt gearbag have any kind of differential upgrade as well?? There's no mention of that in the video but it would be crazy to not put an LSD in this thing.

                          I reckon $30-35k

It would be heavily dependent on how much you can do at home as well. A home DIYer could save half the costs vs someone who just wants a turn key car from the shop.

can you give us some more details on the engine mounts marty? is it still just hung on the 4 bolts out of the gearbox? or did you put a mount cross the front too like a 912/911?
