Not hard to sync motors at all. Not even a concern.
I think the unsprung weight is the main disadvantage. I have seen electric motors getting banged up all over the place I don't think that would hurt them until you went for heavy large units. Maybe I better check how big an heavy 10Kw leccy is first eh?

I would happily watch a series showing an in-depth rebuild of the electric turd.

learn new things and would be an excuse to play with fibre glass as well if you re-did the battery tubs to suit new batteries.

this build is screaming for a sponsor.

Good episodes. For me it was great to be taken completely into the unknown with the electric car. I really look forward to where you go with the electric car project.
Strangely, of all the MCM cars, this one is now the one I would be most interested in have a good look over and going for a ride in.

edit: yeah, as rob says above.

Well, hub motors are a bit heavier than I hoped But this one does 30kw peak. So and extra 60kw boost off the line for 1 second one typically undriven wheels would at leave be fun

Looks like heat is a fair deal of the issue too for continuous output.

Huh? Model S P90D has 760hp worth of electric motor (arguable if the battery pack can keep up though) and enough grunt to run a 10 second quarter. High Horsepower electric motors are well are truly available. I also highly doubt the electric motors are costing Tesla 50grand each and still be able to sell the car for 125 grand.

                    Smidge,
Awesome episodes. I really want to have a crack at a electric conversion going the whole way as well with AC motor, regen and a decent battery pack to get a decent range.

Pity there's no vid of Rainwulf's epic fwd rollbacks.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

No, not the ones he did in the street later on where he rolled backwards around the corner.
