I'd like to make something like these, mainly because I couldn't shell out the ~$10,000 to buy one....

IIRC, someone on here has/had one of those. The rear wheel required stronger spokes due to the power. Mine is a 250watt road legal one. I had a guy overtake me in the fairlane through a 60 zone the other day riding a fast electric pushy. It was seriously moving and would be likely be cop bait at those speeds, hence the desire for a street legal electric 'motor bike' that can sit on 70.

I got my bike kit through this mob, as they are local. Was handy when the charger broke and overcharged my lead acid batteries into balloons as I just rocked up the factory and they replaced them all.

I'm not straight outta Compton, I'm straight out the trailer.

great episode, did you consider load testing all of the free batteries individually or just figured they were all buggered?

I think that only a retired would not be at least keeping an eye on electric car stuff.

I think about rc cars when we were kids with brushed motors and nicad batteries with lame performance. Compare and contrast to today with lipo and brushless motors making an insane amount of power and allowing stuff like quadcopters to work that were never even dreamt of fifteen years ago. It's clear that we are on the cusp of accessible and affordable electric cars so I reckon you're on the right track.

I should really watch this ep, v.relevant to my interests.

Plan on building the little dude an electric go kart to terrorise the neighbourhood with - already found some pretty cool gear for it.

Next Ep should be an MX5 Leccy conversion like this:

nah go full circle. Get some monster leccy motor running a turbo compressor. PS Im pretty sure it will make more power, but not enough to overcome the wieght added. Until epic graphine capacitors etc.

did you render him unable to breed? If not, you have not even gone close to fixing the problem.

I'm pretty sure potatodyno is solving that problem by himself by repelling anything with a vag
