As an unemployed person with nothing but time on my hands, I am looking forward to this.
That lancer is hideous, but as you pointed out, someone has spent some time on it in the past. Is it definitely a 1.5? Surely no one would have bothered with that. I remember there was a turbo 1.8 SOHC motor that was running deep into the 11s back in the day. I will dig around and see if I can find the zoom article on it.
What computer is it running? Some old microtech digi 1 or some such thing? 15:1 afrs under load are not much chop.
And whilst I am sure that the episodes have been filmed, I suggest tracking down some turn of the century gab, Adidas snap track suit pants and a Dada shirt or alike. Give yourself the chance to really feel and understand what it was like to be on the front line of autosalon style.

Yeah those RVR's come up dirt cheap in various condition, if you were ever after a 4G63 on the cheap you would just buy one of those unregistered for the motor.
