Any suspension wizards want to weigh in? The mca/bc/tein methods are all different and there's lots of scientific looking diagrams out there explaining the best way to stance your Miata.

Maybe it's worth a new thread, maybe not
Do you really want PF to weigh in because there will be a shit storm and someones missus will get fingered.

Your shifter reminds me of the one in one of my previous mistakes.
Do not listen to anything this man says. They are insane, illogical thoughts propagated by us, the voices in his head.

Is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

I assume you are asking about setting the ride height for the desexed lancer?
If you just want it lower then adjust the base height as it's quick and easy to do. If you want to properly match the bump stop and droop to a specific car setup for a specific ride height then do it the way MCA says.

Alternately start a thread on it and get multiple varying opinions which ultimately turns into a couple of people arguing and never gets you a definitive answer.

I'm gonne jump right in and say Ackermann. If you drop this a few times in a suspension debate stupid people will assume you are some kind of wizard.

Ackermann, bump steer, motion ratio and you become the apex high wizard

Yeah got some good explanations of the MCA way and it makes sense to me. There's a whole internet of stanced cars adjusting base height and calling it a day.

The response to any argument is:

"You're not taking into account Ackermann, king pin inclination and high speed yaw"

Any mention of ackerman, kpi, watts linkage or scrub radius all require you to down your current drink.

But seriously, we have some pretty switched on people here, feel free to post the question and tech stuff.

I always thought suspension terms were actually innuendo? Bump droop etc.
