That vid reminded me why I hate single make car shows. Did recognise a few of those blokes and the cars. Some people had really difficult times to get them finished. Bloody minis....

I was a member of the Mini Owners Club for one meeting. Showed up and they were picking faults at things like brackets in the engine. My door cards are made out of old beds which wasn't noticed.

Sad, fragile egos that need to constantly try to prove their superiority over anyone else, so they feel like their existence has some purpose.

Will be interesting to see what you do with the old Corolla, even if it isn't a GTI or SX you peasants.

I don't understand these concours shows. I'd rather drive my car, even if I get it abit dirty. It's like they'd rather spend their time washing a car then driving one???

Potentially it feels like more of a level playing field cause anyone can clean up their car but engine swaps are out of reach?

Almost all those minis were modified, a few interesting takes on turbo setups and all sorts of random eras of modification styles. I've only owned old gemini's so this is a different world for me.

Whilst i enjoy the full on builds, it would be good to see a project car aimed at the younger viewers, the kind of stuff they can DIY. Using brand name stuff such as a brand name exhaust system, and a dyno run after it. Head unit upgrade, a timed release to a special at supercheap on head units and the iso kits for easy install.
