I dunno about the Ford workers not having a sense of humour ... I mean, this is Ford not Ferrari, and these two young guys they've never heard of are allowed to assemble the extra bits on a Focus? Was initially "WTF" but by the end there seemed to be smiles all 'round.

Although sometimes it's hard to believe there's a language barrier when someone speaks English so fucking well in a non-colloquial way. I'm used to dealing with Belgians who seem to use English with a lot of the same colloquialisms as Australians, so when I'm talking to Germans or Austrians it can catch me out (and I think they find it a bit freaky that Australians understand 100% what they're saying but they struggle with the accent + colloquialisms).

Regardless - I really enjoyed this episode! I remember reading about how well-to-do people used to do a European delivery of their Benz or BMW; this is next-level cool, where you get to hands-on complete your own car in Europe. Very fun to watch!

The "Germans don't have a sense of humour" line gets trotted out a lot and I'd just like to clarify that they/we have a sense of humour, it's just different. Also you'd be surprised how hard it can be for non Australians, let alone high school level English speakers to understand what the fuck is being said.
