600rwhp L28 turbo would have really floated my boat on this one too. Rb26 doesn’t really excite me as it’s back to cheque book racing again .

Yeah I know they are shit. I have had a 280zx l28efi, l28 carb and l26 suck through turbo.hence the interest in building a nonshit one by someone who can afford to do so.

Rb26 is such a metrosexual engine these days, I guess transgender people have to drive too.....

By your logic anyone with a rb/jz/sr/ls/barra are all check book racers because parts readily are available. Choosing a good, reliable engine that makes good power is for fat wallets, but spending much more time and money on an old junker is not?

It's not MCM presented by Macquarie Bank. A stock RB26 bottom end can do 500hp no problem. How many cheques do you have to write to get a L24/L28 to do the same? If you had a bottomless pit of money then sure....meanwhile....

With the circumstances of this car where it has arrived in the boy's hands minus an engine then why not resto-mod it. Ideally would have been awesome to build a crazy L series but since the engine bay is empty then why not go with a more modern drivetrain (still a nissan motor after all)
