    I think what I took away from that most that an absolute shit load of footage gets filmed,
    and then it's a long process to trim that down into a punchy and effective final print.
    If nothing else it highlighted the amount of work that goes into making a 5-10 minute long
    Youtube video when you actually care about production value.

    Personally I find Marty & Moogs on screen friendship and banter to be very entertaining,
    though some people won't. Those people who don't are always welcome to produce their
    own beetter multi-episode automotive series and put it on the internet for free;
    seeing how it totally doesn't take much time or effort to do..

      does that mean we aren't allowed to voice our opinions on a forum? i like moog. but i dont see why people need to defend his role?

          My guess is because they are also voicing their opinions on a forum.....

            Nah just saying that you cunts being horrible to our new guests /somebody that I think is doing a fucking awesome job should consider your words carefully lest we all look like a bunch of slack jawed yokels.

              Agreed. Hence new thread. This cuntry needs more people like this (and Turbo Yoda and others on here) who actively try and keep the car community kicking and giving it a better image than logan bogan single spinning into mavis the aca fans front yard.

                  Moog reminds me of Richard Rawlings.

                  He just needs to say "Wooooooo!" and "Get you some of that! " more.

                    The genius of making their own music for the show is two fold;

                    - they don't have to worry about copyright issues on youtube
                    - they sell the soundtracks separately for extra profit

                      Float around a few other forums around the place and you can see the MCM guys go by a few different other usernames and from the comments they make even Moog obviously knows his shit, but with the persona the show just wouldn't work. It's like Clarkson on Top Gear, the guy is clearly an out and out car guy and knows all the technical stuff but the general population would get lost very quickly on that if that's all that was spoken.

                        Moog on the surface is an annoying guy in the videos sometimes, but a necessary evil at the same time. Appreciating his skill in making music, video production and being half the brains behind it all is worth respecting on it's own. He is marketable because he doesn't mind being in front of a camera so the guy has a big future.

                        The gramps series is an interesting one, because it goes from the basic mods like electric window conversions & sticker bombing which the flat brim crew have grown to love and moves into the realm of viewers that actually have a decent grasp on technical mechanical concepts & implementing them (which is how I would describe most on this forum, except maybe for turbosurfer.. )

                        There is definitely a market for gramps style builds that happen regularly, but how you turn that into a profitable business is another thing altogether. 5-10 years ago you could produce a video magazine, now that magazine would be ripped and on a torrent site the first night it got released.

                                Only 270kW? Mate, don't you know that you need +500kW @ wheels to get any e-fame these days, and e-fame is what we're all about at internet forums. I have liked countless photos of overpowered Datsun GT-Rs on Instagram and Facebook so I know e-fame. You need to chiggidy-check yo'self before you wriggidy-wreck yo'self.
