Hey Marty...
It made me think when you mentioned it has been 10.5 years and somewhat on the track of "how much did it cost".... but a little different....
Do you know how much data you have?
As in, have you kept all your raw footage and how many TB of data have you got stored?
What are you using for storage?
How many videos have you guys published now?

Also love the list of car stuff to do, and the approach to it.
That said, wonder how it would stack up with some on here, such as Ed's Lotus project and the massive lists that are often posted in there.Chris

I laughed at how Moog mentioning a few times how he is still young .
Im a lot older than Moog , but even I know he's not young .
Young people havent achieved what he and Marty have done .
Young people dont own restaurants , young people dont go to Japan and spend 40G's on an old car , ship it home and then spend another 40 on it .
As happens with most media / entertainment personalities , their audience ages with them , thats not a bad thing its just called growing up and growing old .
I think Mighty Car Mods as been a wonderful example of an honest transition from Kid to Adult , from Junk cars to serious bits of gear .
Its been cool to watch that evolution over the last few years .

I was a late comer to MCM myself. The heading here has 11 second Subaru build, didn't really sound appealing to open the link. One day I noticed there was well over 100 pages and thought there must be a reason. So opened and was presently surprised to find a couple of down to earth guys making YouTube shows/videos without all the unnecessary drama. Keep having fun and living how life is supposed to be done. All the best. And your progression is massively welcome, it's all fun painting brake calipers, but what you guys are doing now is what we all would love to be doing. Also you guys are still young. I'm 45 and don't feel old. If you ever want to do a carbon fibre vacuum infused part let me know.
I would love to see you guys on the track more, and by track, I mean with corners. Come down to Phillip Island.

About 80tb, backed up 3 times. Every shot since the day we started. Comes in really handy when we refer to it which is actually not that often. Data wrangling was a big part of my previous jobs in audio so it’s a hard habit to break. I think we’re getting near 500 videos, not sure, not countingOriginally posted by TT View PostHey Marty...

Instructional type video on vacuum infused carbon with light year would be awesome! There is a really good one in YouTube where they make a bonnet but something a little less technical /more jovial from you guys would be fun I reckon. Just a thought though, keep it up Marty and thanks for the free entertainment.

Last 2 Skid Factory vids have been bloody awesome. It's great to see some standalone tech like the loom & carb/EFI swap vids, which doesn't shy away from how complex those jobs are.Originally posted by tim510 View PostThanks for feedback lads. Was a cool project.
I reckon you're a good fit on-screen with Al and Woody, too, Tim. Probably could do with a cloak and hat to suit your electronic wizardry ways, mr master of sparks and ignition.
