Good eps! Been a great run lately. Did lol at The optimism about removing the front of the bedford. Those shitboxes are fully welded up. My old boss back in my Berriman days used to dismantle the red motor in situ and then carefully pass the block out the bonnet, rebuild the block, carefully pass it back in again then finish the build in the van. I took one look at that process and said fuck that. Next one that came in I dropped the front end. He was dirty on me for ages because I was right lol

I think I mentioned this at the Xmas party but my electrician neighbour is a mad electric and modified car guy. He's always pulling Tesla's and volts apart. I convinced him to take his electric miev van to the all Jap day and he parked it next to the Nissan cubes and was swamped with people keen.

He was speakimg with one of the other pf electronic engineers at beer o'clock about how best to build a plug in fettle box, as most of these factory motors are significantly detuned and unlocking the extra power is a technical rather than a physical challenge.

Eg the miev van has an inhibitor to keep it at 25kw, whereas the sedan is rated at 50kw but the batteries and motors are all the same. Probably do it won't tip over.

A miev vs Daihatsu Kei car race is still a cool thing I reckon. All nuggets though...
