YouTube earnings and sponsors products contribute to show earnings. I'm not saying it's heaps. It's probably very modest. But there'd be a bit.

Adblock kills quite a lot of earnings. Also the Japan trips, etc to bring stuff over as well as fund recording gear, time to take off, etc.

I imagine it shoots a lot of the "earnings" in the foot, but if I recall an old "ask us stuff" vid everything that they got out of MCM went back in, owning the cars were just a nice thing on the side. I imagine all the thousands of hours learning how to make good videos from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3mhq_BrnU0 to their latest would be worth something...

Recording gear isn't cheap, either... I have a simple shoulder mount and some kit for DSLR's and that's already well into thousands.

Here's a PH article from when /drive (another A List youtube partner) went sub justifying it - obviously there's a bit of a difference because afaik MCM don't have a partner deal like /DRIVE did, so there's no 40% revenue share, but it's not as good as people make it out to be.
