                    Looked into this myself a bit cause I agree It would be faster in most situations we’ll use it in, with more response. That said, isn’t it why they went twins in the first place? Im not sure a smaller turbo would magically fix it. Smaller rear housing would be step in the right direction cause means we don’t have to throw away all Al’s mint fab work.

                    I don’t know enough about rb26’s to be sure but my limited reading suggests they all take a while to come on...

                      People often forget that 2.6L isn't all that big of a motor, particularly with a turbo capable of 320wkw+ on 98.

                      To put it in perspective, it's 100cc more than the EJ25 in the STI's since '06 - and nobody considers those a 'big' engine by any stretch.

                        There are probably newer options that are better, but a friend had HKS GT-SS twins on his RB26 which put out around 350 at all 4 and the response was sensational. Guess it’s one of those personal preference things.

                              why do you think everyone goes 2.8 > 3.0 > 3.2? The extra cubes help you spool up your uleh spec turbo?

                                If you want a large frame turbo with no lag you either need cubes (4L is a good size), nitrous or anti lag.

                                Cubes is the go lol
