Honestly I think this feedback could be because generally skid factory builds are at a good pace with weekly updates and do get smashed out very quickly. Due to drag week the Bedford has an interruption that the audience is not used to. For most of us we understand, but some might not watch drag week and are getting impatient. It’s also been a big build with a lot of episodes so far.

As a whole imo there is no need to change anything as this build was the exception. Personally I find the on screen chemistry between you and woody great and if there is a new ep of skid factory and a new ep of roadkill come out at the same time I will watch skid factory first (very high praise).

As you have asked for opinions I will say one thing I think would be cool and that is to timelapse a task with a timer. One that springs to mind that would be cool is the loom of the Bedford. The internet has no idea how long and involved the niggly bits take to get the build right. Binky did this and it was really interesting. It’s more effective than saying “I am 3 days into this” as it gives the internet instant gratification by seeing the whole process and shows just how much work is needed. You can then flash into and out of time lapse for the parts where you want to talk.

All in all no need to change anything it’s a great show.

...or do the "3 hours later..... The next day....." showing Al in the same position with the loom moved around a bit.

Cheers. We have done gopro timelapse before and I agree that it can work well on laborious stuff. I will talk to Woodrigos about it.

The complainers are used to being spoon-fed structured entertainment. They expect to know exactly what will get done this ep, how many eps until it's finished, etc.
Hoonigan, Motor trend, and project binky all go out of their way to establish expectations at the outset, catering to the baseline pedestrian audience elements.

I'm not suggesting you follow suit, but I can empathize with the segment of the audience that doesn't easily understand the context of the work involved. There has been some attempt to note whats left with the windscreen list, but it's rather huge and entirely illegible if watching off a phone screen (how I watch all youtube content).

Also agree on the don't change to suit the comment section whingers bandwagon - i love watching the work you blokes do, and how in depth it goes. It echoes what most of the other blokes in the thread are saying but its actually really nice to see how much time and work goes into the conversions beyond putting a more powerful engine into something. And as a dude with no fabrication skills and only really basic mechanical skills its fucking cool to see how its done by a professional.

Great work Al and Woody. Showed my support by investing in a shirt and stubby cooler so my wife can get pissed off by yet another one getting left around the house.

Loved that Ep. Incidentally, new Binky is going to be up today.

As am I. Every time I think i'm making reasonable progress in between family, work, renos etc, I watch a ep of skid factory and it makes me realise i'm getting no-where fast!

Al, Woody, don't change a thing! (Except maybe that driveshaft setup that's going to vibrate like fuck)
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

videos are fine as they are - maybe show a little more chunky time lapse on custom fabbed brackets etc to show peeps how its done but no need to explain it all

Does the engine have to come back out at all ?

If it does do a 5 min vid with the old engine back in stating due to the whinger sayings its taking too long Milllsi thought it best to put the old engine back in to make them happy.

the chicken scratchings and whatever boozey slushy is on the menu that particular night. IF you like seafood i'm told the oysters are next level but i don't eat meat of the sea.

Roger. I am partial to a fish burger so pretty keen on trying that and quite a bit of the rest of the menu.

This is unusual for a bloke who WILL eat weird Japanese snacks.
