Absolutely! Definitely not cheap gear.Originally posted by irsa76 View PostI reckon it's closer to $25k just in parts, REVO isn't cheap shit.
Given Moog's comments about how flogged the car was, and the power and brake upgrades, I'm surprised he just went for the Eibach springs with the original dampers. While that combo works well I'm not sure he'll find it any good when he starts pushing the car pretty hard on a track.
As for shocks - eibach/KW/blistering among others do replacement coil overs - ones that even retain the ability to adjust in the cabin like the factory.

I am actually more interested in this build than I thought I would be..
Maybe I am getting old - but the idea of "bolt ons" that actually bolt on, and maintaining driveability and more importantly, reliability is exciting
Never been keen on the Golfs before (too many years of underwriting their fucking appalling warranty clams frequency) - but this has me intrigued.... Hope he keeps it long term and keeps us updated on it's long term reliability...

About 200 - 300ms per shift of no power. It would be quicker with DSG but not a mind blindingly huge difference.Originally posted by kabab View PostI really wanna know how the real EVO would go with and without a DSG on the track...- Gary
97 Mitsubishi Lancer Coupe 1.8 (cheap and cheerful motoring)
16 Honda Grom (MSX125) Snail racing would be faster

Yep me too, bolt on 'supercar' performance in something I can do the shopping and drop the kid to daycare in is appealing.Originally posted by Southo View PostI am actually more interested in this build than I thought I would be..

I’ve been running a racing line stage 3 on my golf r for over a year. Zero issues so far.
Not sure where all these break down stories come from. I’m guessing it’s not Mk7 Golf RsMK7 Golf R 11.3@123.9mph. still working at getting into the 10s

For bolt on, looks impressive. Can't help but think the inspiration for the supercar moniker came from PF despite whatever was mentioned in the video.
IIRC a cars & coffee in Terry Hills (Cavalinho or something?), and PF'ers joked about the number of Golf Supercars that showed up and took all the parking.
That one makes over 400rwkw. :oh: I have that guy's previous set of Rays ZE40 wheelsOriginally posted by FLI355 View PostWonder if that’s a resident PFers 1M on the hoist in the background.
