My wastegate literally was permanent shut due to build of of crap. Rather than fix the wastegate I sorted the boost cut, added an extra injector. Plus water injection. Ah, those were the days!

I still search car sales for them every now and then.

And have to say, no, no, don’t be stupid!!
LOL. My mate had a black one on white Simmons. We thought it was cool as F. All I remember was how bad the brakes were!

I had another mate who bought one new, because thats what the cops had.

A cordia was the first turbo car I had ever been in and I was amazed at how fast it was.
The driver got it up to 200kmh on a suburban street with my wedged in the back seat. The lights on the dash didn't work, so the driver had to turn the interior light on so we could see how fast we were actually going.

I do remember how awfully it pulled up from that speed though. Thought we were going to end up getting airborne and jumping over the Federal Highway.

I test drove a AB Cordia with a wastegate bleed valve and 3 inch exhaust in about 2001, it had standard 13 inch wheels and brakes, with shit tyres. Was hilariously good fun and terrifying at the same time. I remember hitting about 130 on pimpala rd in Reynella (for Cplus's benefit) , going for the brakes and thinking I was never going to stop...

I didn't buy it, but ended up with an N13 Poosar Q instead, which was a complete shitbox and blew up gearboxes, and got crashed etc.. should have lived the dream....

I think its fair to say that everyone who is my age and into turbo cars has been in a corbo turdia with a cirrus 12v in it and loved it.

First car back in 1995 was an 84 AB Cordia.
Loved it back then. When it working anyway.

I was going to buy one from an old guy in Loganholme.

Turned up to take it for a test drive down the freeway on ramp near the Hyperdome.

Got booked doing 120 and didn't buy the car.

Took a test drive not long after in an MX6, with my Dad in the passenger seat.

It changed lanes towards oncoming traffic on boost.

Was advised that I wouldn't be buying that car.

                    Bought SX Corolla instead.

                    Didn't die.

                      Lol Chris.
I've had all 3 of the cars you listed in the past.
Have fond memories of some sort from each of them.
                      Also didn't die

Had a Turbo Cordia (Chassis #7) that had a few factory installed issues that were fixed in the next mode, and have no idea why I didn't die so sold it before I did.
Is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

Back on track, drove the Bedford a couple of km last night. Even has gears, lights and dash.
Fuck it makes some cool spooly noises when you're pretty much sitting above the turbo. ♥️

Hang on, I thought this thread was all about Cordias now?

Haha, awesome work though. I saw a video somewhere on insta of the Bedford, it sounds great!

The Sigma has the same lane change feature as the Cordia. It’s back seat was far more versatile though.

Checking in to Turbo Cordia club. Although it was gifted to me after passing through another PFer's hands and some deep fording testing. I got rear ended in it, got a payment from insurance and gave it to the last owner and it was then basically a 'free' car. We did some motorkhanas in it, a Mt Cotton Hill climb, then sold it to someone who wanted the drivetrian. Good memories!
